It’s been my experience that women are hard on and very critical of themselves; trying to be all things to all people. In the process you feel burned out and used up, often losing your sense of self. Then you wonder if you’ll ever feel complete or in harmony. I know this because I am one! I have been through the negative and destructive belief system that tells me I am not good enough. You are more then good enough. You are amazing! I understand this because I am a recovering people pleaser, overachiever and perfectionist.
It’s my deepest desire as a mother, daughter, sister, friend, motivator, business professional and breast cancer survivor, to share my own painful struggles and finally learn how to love myself. Yahoo! Today I honor, value and celebrate my worth with God’s grace and the willingness to dive into my soul.

Barbara Rucker was a top Wilhelmina model, spokesperson for over 2,000 National Television commercials, an actress in professional theater, hosted two of her own talk shows, acted in five films, served as an Entertainment Correspondent on “Inside Edition,” guest-starred on several sitcoms and spent a decade starring on soap operas, including “As the World Turns,” (Sandy McGuire) “One Life to Live,” (Evelyn Phillips) and “Texas” (Ginny Marshall).
As a successful actress for over 20 years, Barbara Rucker shares poignant, humorous & authentic show business stories and personal challenges that helped her discover confidence, charisma, and courage while embracing a magical, God-centered life!
Taking on her favorite role as a stay-at-home mom for five years, Ms. Rucker made a natural transition into the corporate training arena, teaching companies and executives how to be more effective and successful in Sales, Customer Service, Management, Goal Achievement and Leadership.
Barbara has been a free car-driving Mary Kay Director, Executive Recruiter, Sales Professional and Marketing Guru. She received her Bachelor of Science in December 2008, with a degree in Management and Organizational Development. Barbara is a member of Nashville CABLE, The 2009-2010 Area Governor for Toastmasters International, National Association of Professional Women, Braveheart Women and has been involved in the National Speaker’s Association.
Divorcing after a 25 year marriage, Barbara is a recovering over-achiever, perfectionist, and people pleaser! This new chapter in her life includes ½ marathons, ballroom dancing, Zumba, reading, writing a book, gardening, gourmet cooking, and was recently certified in Laughter Yoga.
A breast cancer survivor since 1990, Barbara is honored and privileged to work with many cancer groups and considers these women her heroes. With God as her Director for this exciting production, Barbara’s purpose is to share her truth, strength and hope with women and inspire them to soar and let their radiance shine!
